![]() Far too many perks are meh on certain gun classes, and others have way too much synergy with other perks, leading to ‘god roll’ syndrome. The fact everyone was running around in Crucible with the same perks was not, contrary to popular wisdom, evidence that reforging was bad, but rather that in practice, most perks were bad. Hope this helps some of you who were curious. Preference for perks is obviously Braced Frame, although if for whatever reason you wanted to use the others, those are fine too. So far, the vendor Nirwen's feels as close to Y1 as I've found, and if you're a fan of this archetype I think you owe it to yourself to get to rank 5 and buy it. Importantly, the pull is distinctly up and right, which is different from the almost horizontal pattern of some of the other popular Y2 guns (thinking specifically of the Hawksaw and the Suros pulse that shares the Hawksaw archetype). My thoughts: Nirwen's clearly has more "up and right" pull than I'm used to on my Y1 pulses, but it's in no way unmanageable or even all the noticeable in actual use. I'm not compensating in any way for the recoil. ![]() NOTE: My right thumb was completely off the stick for the duration of the shooting tests. If you're interested in seeing the particular recoil pattern from a different setup/gun, let me know and I'll put something together.) (I did not test every possible combination on all guns because I was more interested in looking at how someone might actually set these things up for the real world. ![]() Perfect Balance/Braced Frame/Injection Mold (each one of these was tested individually in the video) Nirwen's Mercy (Iron Banner vendor version): I went to the Cosmodrome to get a better sense of the recoil and to see how the pattern differs from from some of the best PRs from Y1. I know there was a lot of talk a few days ago about the recoil pattern on Nirwen's, specifically in regards to whether it would be comparable to some of the better Y1 PRs or whether it would have the hard directional pull that seems to be typical of Y2 pulses.
